Mr. Jayabarathan Chelliah held a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Loma Linda University, California, USA. He had over 50 years of service as the Head of reputed English medium schools. In recognition to his contribution to the cause of education the Government of Tamil Nadu awarded him the Dr. Radhkrishnan (Nallasiriyar) Award.
Co-Founder
Mrs. Florence Jayabarathan is the Co-founder of Mount Zion schools with more than 50 years of service. She has contributed significantly towards the growth and the development of the Mount Zion family. She was the Headmistress of the school since 1988. Under her able leadership, our very first batch of 12th standard which sat for the public exam in 1994, bagged the first place in the District.
Chairman
Mount Zion International school functions under the supervision, guidance and administration of Dr. Jonathan Jayabarathan who is the outstanding chairman and backbone of the institution, well known for his service to the cause of education and has been a source of inspiration for teachers and students alike. He has taken lots of initiatives to provide the best education for students of this area & keeping them at pace with the latest trends in education.
Dr. Jonathan is also a recognized Philanthropist who has received many accolades including but not limited to his award for Excellence in social service awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu, His contribution to education was also recognized through his Prestigious award for excellence in Holistic education awarded by the Indo-Bhutan Centre for education and economic research, to name just a few.
Under his leadership, Mount Zion International School has received the award for the most promising school promoting holistic education. Presented by the UK members of Parliament.
Vice-Chairperson
Mrs. Angeline Jonathan, Vice-Chairperson of Mount Zion International school has a rich experience in the field of academics. She is the heart of academics at Mount Zion and her motto is to “brighten the school atmosphere and encourage teachers and students alike to reach greater heights.” With her guidance Mount Zion international school has been relentlessly growing towards excellence.
